Celebrating 15 years of broadcast and its 30th season, Survivor is back with Survivor XXX: Worlds Apart.

Taking on the first-time theme of White Collar vs. Blue Collar vs. No Collar, castaways are split into three tribes based on their different backgrounds and standings in life away from the island.
White Collars (Masaya Tribe) are known for making the rules, whilst Blue Collars (Escameca Tribe) follow the rules, and No Collars (Nargarote Tribe) are known to break the rules, boasting free spirits.
With each member comes a different approach on how to play the game and interact with their fellow castaways, but every person has the same goal - to walk away with the $1 million prize and be crowned Sole Survivor.
The White Collar Tribe (Masaya)
Carolyn Rivera, 52 from Tampa, Fla.
Whilst working full-time, Carolyn has achieved her master's degree and maintained a 35-year relationship with her husband, who she's raised three kids alongside. Noting her inspiration as Hilary Clinton because she "represents women well", she enjoys a spot of softball, karaoke and shopping in her spare time.
Describing herself as "competitive, funny and passionate", she cannot stand those who lie and notes that people shouldn't "ask the question if you are not ready for the answer!"
Joaquin Souberbielle, 27 from Valley Stream, N.Y.
As a marketing director, Joaquin admits he's been able to live a life that's "allowed me to overindulge and experience so much of the beauty the world has to offer", and claims that there is no other Survivor contestant of the past who he can compare himself to, promising viewers "you will enjoy this".
Confident in his ability to win, he says: "I'll be the Sole Survivor because I have all the attributes it takes to win this game. I'm smart, social and unbelievably athletic."
Max Dawson, 37 from Topanga, Calif.
Max has taught a college class at Northwestern University on Survivor, and so believes he has exactly what it takes to run home with the title and prize in season 30.
Asked which contestant of seasons past he's most like, he replied: "Jonathan Penner. We are both opinionated, outspoken, truth-telling Jews who make our livings with our words. Like him, I love Survivor and all that it stands for. I believe that the game deserves to be honored by the individuals who are fortunate enough to play it."
Shirin Oskooi, 31 from San Francisco
Shirin's inspiration in life as well as Larry David would be RuPaul, "because 'fierce queen', 'no tea no shade', 'now sissy that walk'", and this isn't a woman who lets things lie, after she "made Google Calendar the #1 online calendar in the world".
Enjoying field hockey in her spare time, she doesn't like "quitters and morons" and says she'll survive the show because she's "intelligent and creative enough to outsmart the challenges", claiming that "people underestimate me and won't see me as a threat".
So Kim, 31 from Long Beach, Calif.
Inspired by "anyone who lives life to the fullest, laughs with abandon and loves openly", So enjoys "laughing, adventuring, traveling, dancing and LIVING".
Hoping to become the "legendary female Sole Survivor who made big moves and didn't play it 'safe'!", she says she'll be completely "in my element in the game of Survivor", and claims those who know her "say I'm the strongest girl they know - physically, mentally and emotionally."
Tyler Fredrickson, 33 from Los Angeles
Simply laughing when asked his favourite sport, Tyler says that the Survivor contestant he's most like is "Boston Rob, because I'm a flirt with a relentless passion to win and will cut my tightest ally at the last minute".
Asked why he'll be the Sole Survivor, Tyler replied: "I worked two years at the top agency in the world - I can outwit. I have two master degrees, one from Berkeley and one from USC - I can outsmart. I played on seven professional football teams - I can outlast."
The Blue Collar Tribe (Escameca)
Dan Foley, 47 from Gorham, Maine
Postal worker Dan used to have a huge fear of heights, and so decided to tackle his phobia head-on, jumping out of his first ever airplane ride at 13,000 feet and overcoming the fear.
Speaking about why he believes he can take home the Survivor prize, Dan says: "I am excellent at reading people and controlling some pretty out of control situations. As an Irishman, I have a glorious stubborn streak and I hate to lose. As a technician, I have a very analytical mind so I'll be great at puzzles. I'm also very good with my hands so I'll be a big help around camp. I am the entire package."
Kelly Remington, 44 from Grand Island, N.Y.
As a state trooper, Kelly says her personal claim to fame is her career "because I get to use my pepper spray, handcuffs, night stick and Taser before I even walk out of the house."
Stating the money and "adventure of being on Survivor" is her reason to take part, she claims she can "analyze people" whilst being "smart, witty and have the drive/need for the $1 million."
Lindsey Cascaddan, 24 from College Park, Fla.
Trying not to make those she looks up to in life heroes because "it gives them so much room for disappointment", Lindsey does relate to Blood vs. Water contestant Ciera "because she's a young mom, a hairstylist, and I think she made big moves when it mattered most."
Claiming that she is "very crafty!", Lindsey will be cooking on the tribe and believes that her good looks will make her a "distraction" when it comes to the competition.
Mike Holloway, 38 from North Richland Hills, Texas
This oil driller notes one of his hobbies as "picking up the ladies", but has a huge problem with "people who are bad at time management. If you say you're going to be somewhere at a certain time, be there!"
Describing himself as "loyal, ambitious and clever", he says he has "a competitive fire" inside himself, and would die before quitting.
Rodney Lavoie Jr., 24 from Boston
This general contractor's pet peeve is "when guys take kissy face selfies on social media", and his hobbies include working out at the gym as well as playing basketball, video games and "poppin' bottles at the club".
Hoping to "show the world I am the total package", he says: "With my smarts, athletic ability, hustle like a salesman and personality, I think I can make it, baby!"
Sierra Dawn Thomas, 27 from Roy, Utah
High School Rodeo saw Sierra take the title of National Champion Barrel Racer and All Around Cowgirl, whilst she also won a National Championship in College rodeo rankings before picking up barrel racing as a full-time profession.
Believing in strategizing, she claims the Survivor contestant she's most similar to is "Parvati Shallow, hands down, because she's not overly aggressive and uses her female traits to her advantage".
The No Collar Tribe (Nargarote)
Hali Ford, 25 from San Francisco
Currently studying law, Hali admires the "trail-blazing approach to law and life" set out by Clara S. Foltz and describes herself in three words as "tenacious, free and focused".
When asked which Survivor contestant she thinks she's most like, Hali replied: "Parvati Shallow because she is fun and vivacious, but more than meets the eye, always planning, calculating risks both strategic and social. She is physically strong and undaunted by rejection and resistance. We also have matching tats."
Jenn Brown, 22 from Long Beach, Calif.
After traveling the world solo "on a whim", Jenn has always hoped to earn a spot on Survivor since third grade when she watched the first season, stating: "I would absolutely kill it in the game and I could use the bucks."
Now a step closer to achieving her dreams, Jenn says she will "boost morale, as well as provide for the camp because I like to think of myself as a decent cook and fisherman. I also am very confident and would absolutely kill it in physical and mental challenges."
Joe Anglim, 25 from Scottsdale, Ariz.
Enjoying anything that allows him to work with his hands, Joe notes that his father is his inspiration in life, explaining: "My whole life, he was incredibly hard on me and always pushing me to become better at everything I did."
Saying he thinks he'll be like a "combination of Malcolm and Ozzy" when it comes to gameplay, he thinks he'll be an asset to his tribe "because I am athletic and very competitive. I love competition and I hate losing. I am not lazy and I don't mind doing what needs to get done in order to help others."
Nina Poersch, 51 from Palmdale, Calif.
After overcoming her deafness, Nina states that the disability "at no point" ruled her life, never bringing her down and now allowing her to educate people about the Cochlear Impant.
Asked why she'll be able to survive the show, Nina replied: "I'm physically fit and have climbed the six tallest peaks in Southern California. I'm hard working and have great organizational and leadership skills and I'd bring energy and motivation since I'm always the optimist."
Vince Sly, 32 from Santa Monica, Calif.
Working as a coconut vendor, Vince has traveled through 39 countries, "all done on whim, wit and self-actualization".
His reason for being on Survivor is that "this is possibly the greatest challenge that I'll face in life... and YES - A million bucks is a plus!", and he says that he's "flirty and [will] use my sex appeal like Parvati [Shallow]."
Will Sims II, 41 from Sherman Oaks, Calif.
Known as a YouTube sensation, Will states that "no one will be able to outplay my social game" and is simply taking on the challenge for the "Money! Money!".
Describing himself as "funny, loyal and caring", his pet peeves include "people who can't admit when they are wrong and people who don't tip."
