Bruno Ielo, 31 from Ottawa
Describing himself as strategic, fun and charismatic, this construction worker is going to go into the house, check out his surroundings and fellow castmembers and then "adapt". Growing up with nine people in his house he admits he gets along "with most people", and says that if he could bring anything into the house it'd be his family - his wife and two sons.
With no Big Brother Canada idol, he does note that he was a fan of Paul and Adel's personalities in BBCAN2, saying they were "good guys" who "had fun with each other, in spite of their circumstances in the house. But really, Paul's game was horrible."
Brittnee Blair, 25 from Calgary
Working as a plus-size model, Brittnee would "definitely" be into a showmance and would really like to get one guy on-side to align with her. "Between the two of us, we'd work both sides of the house. We'd be like Neda (BBCAN2) and Jon (BBCAN2) but without everyone in the house knowing it."
She'd bring her mobile phone into the house so she could text and use social media and if she took home the $100,000 prize, she'd take her family on vacation, buy a house in Calgary and donate some of her winnings to "an amazing Calgary organisation called The Mustard Seed. I used to volunteer there and I love what they do."
Bobby Hlad, 27 from Oakville
With many strategies "swirling" around his head, Bobby doesn't want to be seen as a threat and so will "fight a little less to win the mental challenges." Describing himself as fun-loving, crazy and outgoing, he's going "to try to be the guy everyone wants to keep around."
He says that he's going to get "into trouble with some memory challenges - especially if it's a memory game with questions about previous Big Brother seasons. I only started watching the U.S. version in season nine." Despite that he expects to do physically well but thinks there will probably be "someone in there more jacked and fit than me".
Sarah Hanlon, 27 from Toronto
With "many strategies", Sarah is hoping to become the "Queen of the Misfits - the leading force among the people who are seen as the misfits as the house". She'll try to be "what unites the stragglers" and will "wait until the misfits are just sick enough (of being told what to do) and then I'll snap into high gear".
She hates that Gary from the first season of Big Brother Canada didn't win the $100,000 and says he's the "perfect example of being true to yourself but still playing a smart and fully subversive game. He played with the popular people and toyed with all the groups in the house, but he didn't conform or go against anything he didn't believe in to do it."
Zach Oleynik, 22 from Regina
Zach will go into the house with a plan of trying to align himself "with a close group of four people", and once his social game has built he'll then allow his "physicality to come into play", knowing it'll be hard to hold back from winning the competitions but willing to do so if it helps him in the long run.
With a crush on BBCAN1's Jillian and an admiration for winner of BBCAN2 Jon Pardy, he can relate to the latter and loves the fact that he "made it so hard for people to get rid of him."
Willow Macdonald, 26 from Lower Sackville
Hoping to make sure the rest of her houseguest think she has "no strategy at all", she's been a "super fan" of the franchise and has been watching since she was 16 years old. "I'll try to align myself with the intelligent people and probably the ones that are a bit more calm and cool. These people will help offset my wild and impulsive nature and I know I'll need that."
If she won the prize she'd spend the money on her five sisters and one brother, also taking the time to travel and going to Disneyland because it's somewhere she's never been before.
Sindy Nguyen, 25 from Huntsville
This assistant cruise director describes herself as sassy, spontaneous and honest, and is going into the house with not much of a strategy, knowing it would "have to change the moment I walked in anyway."
With no Big Brother Canada idol, she has been a fan of Heather and Gary in the past, and says that she hosts as well as Gary. "When I'm on the cruise ship, I host activities and theme nights and I teach dance classes like Zumba. I've travelled to over 38 countries and I've dated guys from every continent except Antarctica. South Africans make the best boyfriends! I like British guys too. My last boyfriend was a stripper from London. And I'm talking Channing Tatum stripper."
Pilar Nemer, 22 from Dartmouth
Going into the house and planning to just "go with it", she has "no expectations and anything can change at any time." Not confident she can play the same game Neda from BBCAN2 played, she says she'll "definitely feel comfortable being all around these people in the house".
She's not really thought about what she'd do with the money if she did win, but realises that she'd be able to "pay off school and help my parents out with something". Pilar enjoys how Jillian competed in BBCAN1 and loved "goofy" Talla from the same season.
Johnny Colatruglio, 26 from Winnipeg
As a huge superfan, this boy-crazy houseguest has a dog named Veto and thinks he has the best chance going into the house without any "pre-conceived plans", noting that Big Brother will be throwing in "twists and wild cards" throughout anyway.
He doesn't fear anything and has "an idea of the kinds of challenges Big Brother will throw at us. I know that I'd be good at the mental challenges for sure. I've trained for the physical challenges and I'm a very competitive person. I know that I have to be careful because I don't want to be a target right off the top."
Kevin Martin, 22 from Grand Prairie
"All the beautiful young ladies" are his favourite thing about Canada, and this ladies' man is going into the Big Brother Canada house "to relax", stating that when contestants get into this game they "just need to stay chill. This is a marathon and while I'm staying relaxed, I'm going to let the other houseguests get worked up and destroy their own games. Being a poker player makes me so perfect for this competition."
If he wins the $100,000 he'll be going on a "crazy trip to Vegas. With my career, you need money to make money. So winning $100,000 to reinvest in my business will give me a great advantage."
Naeha Sareen, 29 from Toronto
Naeha would take her parents into the house if she could take one thing, because she'll miss them "the most. I talk to them every day! They're a big part of my life. My family is such a huge fan of Big Brother! My sisters and brothers watch too. We watch the Canadian, American, Australian and Indian versions together. I know they'll all be watching me."
She reflects on this when asked what she would do with the prize money, saying she'd "definitely do something for my parents" despite not having any idea what that would be because "they are such humble people".
Graig Merritt, 36 from Pitt Meadows
Saying he's passionate, emotional and real, he's going to go into the house and lie about his age and occupation, because he doesn't want fellow houseguests to know about his true job which sees him "recruit players for Major League Baseball".
Graig says that he fears mental challenges the most, and says: "Some of those trivia challenges are so confusing and they trick you with the words. I mean, I was a catcher, I have been concussed several times!"
Ashleigh Wood, 21 from Calgary
This friendly, goofy and sassy unemployed houseguest is going "to focus on my social game at first by being kind and nice to everyone. I'm not planning to win competitions early on and I definitely don't want to win the first Head of Household (HOH). Winning the first HOH means that you have to make some pretty big decisions right off the bat and I don't want to do that and put a target on my back."
If she won the $100k prize she would go on vacation with friends and family to "anywhere hot", as well as putting some money "away for the future, for when I'm ready to move out of my parents' house."
Godfrey Mangwiza, 22 from Toronto
As a psychology student, Godfrey is hoping to "keep everyone distracted and paranoid. I'll be the one in the house stirring up the rumours. My goal will be to get people to really go against each other while I fly under the radar. I'm bringing a gold ring in the house with me. When I see one of the guys get into a showmance, I'll plant the ring in his suitcase and then show it to his girlfriend in the house and say, "Look! He's been playing you. He's a married man!"
The $100,000 prize would mean she'd be able to fly her grandmother into the country from the UK, after being raised by her in Zimbabwe. "Life was hard there and she looked after my two sisters and me when my parents couldn't anymore. I'd give anything to live with her again."
Jordan Parhar, 21 from Cloverdale
Jocular, perceptive and resilient, Jordan is going into the house with a strategy of making friends and gaining their trust early on in the game. "You can't go in there lying and backstabbing people because that'll put a target on your back. Really though, I'm probably the biggest threat in the house and the person everyone should worry about."
Fearing neither physical or mental challenges, Jordan is planning on using the money if he wins on trying to "convince attractive women to go on dates with me. I would also go to Vegas and put it all on black."
Patricia 'Risha' Denner, 41 from Toronto
If she could take anything into the house it would be her cat Lily. "No matter what's going on, I'm always comforted by her. She's my fur baby and she always wants to snuggle. I plan to be nice to everyone - you want people to like you, right?"
Hoping to travel the world if she does win the money, she says that her Big Brother Canada idol is Emmett, because "he competed so well" and "he's genuinely such a good person. He's so classy. He didn't talk badly about people and he was such a good listener. He was just an all-around good player."
Big Brother Canada 3 kicks off on March 23 on Global.
