Mädchen Amick is taking on her role as Wendy Beauchamp in hit new series 'Witches of East End' with power and impact, and we got the chance to chat exclusively to the former 'Twin Peaks' star about her exciting character, whether the cast get on on-set, and the future she has on the show now a second season has been confirmed.

For those who may not yet have seen the show, can you tell us a little bit about it?

It's a story about four women who happen to be witches - two sets of sisters - there's Joanna Beauchamp, played by Julia Ormond and myself - I play Wendy.

Joanna has two daughters - Ingrid and Freya and that's Rachel Boston and Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

It's just kind of following the dynamic of this family of strong, female characters and hiding the fact that we're witches in the modern day.

So tell us a little more about your character Wendy.

Aunt Wendy comes to town to warn her sister Joanna that there's a big arch enemy that's gonna come after the family, and threaten the Beauchamp's existance - and so she comes into town and wants to warn her of it.

She's been kicked out of the family for 100 years because Aunt Wendy's very naughty, and she does lots of stuff that gets her in trouble! (laughs) So, I weasle my way back into the family.

We're almost halfway through the season here in the UK - what can we expect going into the second half?

We're gonna get closer to finding out who our main enemy that's after us, is. There are some flashbacks that show some history to the family and then we just have a really great finale that kinda gives you a peek into the world that we come from as well.

How was the experience of working on this type of show?

It's been really great - you know the four of us women get along really well off camera, and I think that shows on camera - we enjoy each other, so that's been a blast. It's fun and the producers behind the show are really great, so it's just fun to go to work, and fun to open up the new script and figure out what you're gonna do next.

How does it compare to other shows that you've worked on?

Just right off the bat in the pilot we just bonded immediately, and I don't think you can really plan that. I'm sure when networks and studios and producers are casting something you never know how the actors are gonna get along, but there was just something really magical about the way that we bonded so quickly. That's really rare. I've worked with a lot of really great actors but it's not very often that you all bond so easily.

Well it was announced recently that the show has been renewed for a second season - is that something you're going to be coming back for?

Oh yeah! Yeah.

Can you tell us anything about that, or is it still very much in the works?

It's still in the works. We're left with a pretty big cliffhanger at the end of the season, so there's a lot that we need to tie up, so there may be a little indication of stuff that might happen, but there's so much you can do with the storyline, and with these women being alive for centuries, there's so many things you can explore, so I'm just excited to see what they come up with!

Do you have any other projects away from this show that you can share some details about?

No, nothing away from this show - everything that I've done has pretty much come out at this point.
