'Macho Man' Randy Savage was yesterday announced as a new WWE Hall of Fame inductee during Monday Night Raw.
The ex-wrestler - who died in 2011 of a heart attack - is the first name confirmed for the Class of 2015 after news of the announcement was teased on the official WWE website.
Savage will be inducted by long-time rival Hulk Hogan at the ceremony on Saturday, March 28 - the day before WrestleMania 31.
Last year's inductees to the WWE Hall of Fame included Lita, Mr T, The Ultimate Warrior and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts.
Wrestling fans have long wondered why Savage has been absent from the Hall of Fame, with many jumping to the conclusion that it could be down to his rumoured complex relationship with boss Vince McMahon.
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin quizzed McMahon back in December on whether Savage would ever make it into the Hall of Fame.
McMahon replied at the time: "Oh, absolutely. Definitely... I'm not so sure if it's this year, but it'd be soon. Yes, he's going in."
Savage worked in other promotions including Georgia Championship Wrestling before his tenure with WWF at the time from 1985 to 1994.
During his time, he became a two-time WWF Champion and one-time WWF Intercontinental Champion.
Following the expiration of his contract in 1994, Savage moved to WCW and stayed there until 2000, before working in TNA Wrestling from 2004 until 2005, leaving due to health concerns.
