With the Love Island 2018 final just a few hours away, we’ve decided to take a look back at last year’s final four couples and see exactly what they’ve been getting up to since they entertained the nation. Whilst only one couple from the final are still going strong, it’d be fair to say that each of them have worked their way into the hearts of millions across the UK, cementing successful careers in showbusiness, fitness, and more.

Having both entered on the first day of the competition, it was great to see Amber and Kem walk away with the 2017 Love Island crowns. Pocketing £50,000 for their efforts, the two would enjoy what seemed to be a healthy relationship, but one that came to an end after just four months off the show. Heavy schedules were reported to have put a strain on their romance, and so the two decided to amicably walk away from one another.

Amber has enjoyed a few hosting stints on the likes of This Morning since her time on the show, whilst Kem managed to pick up his own series with Love Island bestie Chris Hughes. The spin-off arrived on ITV2 a little earlier this year, and saw members of the public challenge Kem and Chris to a number of strange objectives. Now, Kem’s on the road with Chris for the next edition of Celebrity Hunted, where they’re attempting to survive two weeks on the run from professionals, raising money for Stand Up To Cancer whilst doing so.

Camilla and Jamie have done quite a good job of keeping out of the spotlight since finishing as runners-up on last year’s series of Love Island, though they did make an appearance on ITV News earlier today to share their thoughts on this year’s bunch of finalists! The pair think Jack and Dani will be walking out as the winning couple from this series, but admitted to being huge fans of all of the remaining Islanders.

The two also have the distinction of being the only couple to come from last year’s Love Island final to still be together, which is just incredible! Any naysayers of the show need just to look at this pair if they want proof that people actually go onto this reality series for something other than fame and fortune!

Though they’re no longer together, Chris and Olivia actually secured a spin-off reality series following their coupling up on Love Island, which saw them preparing to move into a new home together. Unfortunately, the series turned into more of a study of how their romance broke down, and how they would eventually split. Their love for one another was undeniable, but it became clear that they couldn’t work a traditional relationship into their lives.

Since then, Chris has enjoyed success alongside Kem as previously mentioned, and Olivia’s done a brilliant job with roles on This Morning and Loose Women to name just a pair of shows. She’s also adored on social media thanks to her hilarious commentary on Love Island episodes, and is unafraid to let her controversial opinions be known!

Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville – 2017’s fourth place finalists

Gabby and Marcel looked like they were going to be the most successful couple to come from Love Island following the show’s conclusion, but unfortunately it just wasn’t meant to be. Despite that, Gabby has been working hard on building her brand within the fitness industry, creating her fitness app Shape up with Gabby Allen, and sharing her health and exercise tips with her legions of fans.

Marcel meanwhile has been working within the music industry once more and enjoying travelling, but things got ugly when he accused his ex, Gabby of cheating on him with former The Only Way is Essex star, Dan Osborne. Ouch!
