Chris Lilley as Ja'mie King / Credit: BBC

Chris Lilley's latest mockumentary creation came to an end on BBC Three last night, and though the final episode brought about a lot of laughs, we'll be sad to see it leave our television screens.

Hilarious from start to end, with some scenes that were hard to watch knowing there was a grown man underneath the wig and private school uniform, he managed to breathe new life into a character that had been looked at twice before in We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High.

A standout star of this series has to be Jhyll Teplin who plays Ja'mie's mother Jhyll King - capable of taking abuse from all angles and putting on a perfect performance as a mother hoping to do right by her children, and worried that her husband may be having an affair with his younger PA.

Then of course there's Ja'mie herself - our star Chris Lilley. His characters constantly have us screaming with laughter. His humour manages to reach all corners of the globe - starting in Australia and bringing laughs to the UK as well as America where he has big fans in Katy Perry and Lindsay Lohan, even getting into character for a surprise radio phone-in when Katy Perry was the special guest.

The shocking finale was outstanding, and the boundaries were really pushed both in terms of comedy and production, as a helicopter was hired to fly Ja'mie to her chosen prince - Mitchell and the star's superimposed breasts were exposed to the whole of Hillford Grammar as well as the nation.

Bravo Chris Lilley, you've done it again. Now we wait in excited anticipation for Jonah From Tonga and pray Mr. G will also find revival at some point in the future.

Oh, and if you're a total Ja'mieniac, you can download Ja'mie's single 'Learning To Be Me' from iTunes now.
