The BBC have announced that Chris Lilley's new comedy Ja'mie: Private School Girl will be coming to BBC Three in February.

Following the further adventures of Ja'mie King - who also featured in We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High - the series will progress over six half-hour episodes as Ja'mie King goes about getting through her final year at Hillford Girls Grammar School.

With her sights set on winning the Best Girl in Year 12 award - the prestigious Hillford Medal - Ja'mie is willing to go to any lengths to ensure it's her who comes out on top.

Hideously hilarious, she is portrayed by Lilley who admits he often forgets during writing that he'll have to actually pull off some of the scenes.

"So it can be a little challenging and sometimes humiliating." he confessed, adding that he found it a little weird "snuggling on a couch under a blanket with your teenage male on-screen boyfriend".

Ja'mie: Private School Girl premieres on BBC Three, Thursday February 6 at 10pm.

Chris Lilley's second spin-off series, focusing on the life of Summer Heights High character Jonah Takalua is in development and is expected to also air later this year.
