I'm A Celebrity 2016 kicked off in style last night (November 13), as Ant and Dec welcomed 10 new celebrities into the Australian jungle for three weeks of trials, mayhem, chaos and bug-eating. But who made the best first impression? We run down the campmates…
1) Larry Lamb
Larry proved he was the ultimate gentleman when he decided to help out his competitor Scarlett during their first challenge in the jungle. Tasked with getting in their individual canoes and rowing out to flags in a huge lake, Larry proved to be a natural in the water, but Scarlett needed more than a little help when it came to navigating her way through. Not only did Larry shout out advice to Scarlett, but when her boat capsized he went back into the lake after completing the task to rescue her, dragging her all the way back to the shore. He also proved himself to be a dab hand at starting a fire, when he put all the younger guys to shame with his fire making skills. It's going to be interesting to see where Larry's journey goes from here.
2) Scarlett Moffatt
Gogglebox viewers all knew Scarlett would be hilarious in the jungle, but what some might not have counted on is how quickly she would have brought the laughs. Seeing her float on her back through a lake whilst being dragged to shore by Larry Lamb is a moment that's sure to go down in I'm A Celeb history. "I've been on a pedalo but that's where my skills start and end" she joked upon seeing the canoe she would have to captain. Her quick wit was also showcased when the group were talking about who should be taking on toilet duties - she insisted she was holding out for a day when everybody had constipation so the job would be easier. She should have some hilarious weeks ahead of her.
3) Joel Dommett
Though he's not the most instantly recognisable of the cast, there's something utterly endearing and charming about comedian Joel Dommett. Many thought he wouldn't be completing his very first task, as he went to walk out on a plank hundreds of feet in the air and admitted he wasn't a fan of heights, but he proved everybody wrong when he got the job done and even managed to save Wayne Bridge from competing in the very first Bushtucker Trial. Joel's another one who has super quick wit, and should keep his campmates laughing with his gags and, if all else fails, his 'suitcase' impressions of Adam's snoring…
4) Adam Thomas
Adam seems a sweet guy and a typical run-of-the-mill young adult when it comes to pranks and playing around the camp. His best moment in the premiere came when he was helping Joel into the hammock, aided by Jordan, only for the comedian to throw himself out of it moments later. His snoring may cause trouble down the line if he continues to stop others getting their beauty sleep, but for now he's not stepping on any toes and seems to be one of the most popular people in camp.
5) Carol Vorderman
Though she had some major wobbly legs when walking out 300 feet above the city, Carol Vorderman proved she's still great with numbers when she was just one second out from counting to 60. Her tenacity and 'hardcore' spirit (she really does love that word) means that she's going to give everything her all and then some, which is to be admired. She's truly loving her experience and making the most of it, even praising the sounds of the jungle for giving her a moment in time in her life like nothing she's ever done before.
6) Jordan Banjo
Jordan is a sweet guy and a part of what looks to be a brilliant trio, alongside Adam and Joel. He's been the quietest of the three so far, but looks to be remaining cool, calm and reserved until he's truly got a hold of his surroundings. Hopefully his personality and integrity remains intact moving forward.
7) Ola Jordan
Ola has a reputation for getting involved with drama, much like her fellow dancer husband, James Jordan. For now though she's managed to impress viewers, dominating the 300 feet plank challenge in the city before having a memorable moment with Carol whilst the two got changed into their jungle gear. She seems to be a real girl's girl and could do a major reinvention on her public image through her time on the show.
8) Wayne Bridge
Wayne might not be a favourite to win the show, but he could be a major dark horse. Remember when Foggy won? He admits to being scared of most things the jungle houses and so could quickly become a fan favourite if we see him in a few tasks. The fact he has to have someone by his side at all times has so far been brilliant viewing - and totally relatable.
9) Sam Quek
Sam unfortunately hasn't yet done much of note. Seeing her skydive out of a helicopter however was a great thing to see. Unfortunately, she didn't quite get the hang of counting to 60 during her descent, and so failed to save her partner in the first task. Being an Olympian, it's going to be good to see exactly what Sam gets up to moving forward. Her skills in trials shouldn't be rivalled by many of her campmates.
10) Lisa Snowdon
Like Sam, Lisa hasn't yet made much of an impression. She was brave to skydive out of the helicopter into the jungle, but aside from that, there's still a lot left to see of Lisa.
