A massive rise in interest of baking has been seen on eBay as of late, prompted by the return of BBC's Great British Bake Off.

Since the fifth series started, eBay has seen searches rocket by a third for Kitchenaids (36%), and searches for cake tins leap up by a fifth (21%).

With nearly 9,000 cookie cutters and 270 cake tins flying off the site every single day, 17,000 baking listings mean that anyone who wants to get involved should be able to find just what they need to kick off their baking journey.

There's even as assortment of train, mermaid, space rocket and other novelty themed tins available, proving that novelty baking is looking to be the way forward for some.
