The official first extended trailer for upcoming television series Gotham has been revealed by FOX.
The show is to be a series based upon some of the greatest DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes in Gotham - including Bruce Wayne before he became Batman, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Penguin and The Riddler - whilst following the rise of cop James Gordon, a role being taken on by Ben McKenzie who looks like he's going to smash it.
After finding Bruce crying over the murder of his parents, Gordon makes a promise that he'll find the people responsible for their deaths.
Robin Lord Taylor is seen as Oswald Cobblepot AKA Penguin, and we see Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, a "sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner".
This is certainly a series we won't want to miss, and hopefully it won't go down the Agents of Shield route, crashing and burning before it really gets a chance to take off and fly.
Gotham comes to FOX in America this Fall.
