On the bus to a re-start course, Frank (David Threlfall) has the briefest of encounters with a beautiful stranger, Rosie (Esther Coles). His head is turned and he finds himself with a spring in his step and eager to catch the bus to town again for one more glimpse of her. Has Frank finally found the love of his life, or are they just passing ships in the night? Debbie (Rebecca Ryan) finds a failsafe way of bringing in some cash to pay for the family's first ever holiday. Renting out rooms to American exchange students is surely child's play to domestic goddess Debbie. But she didn't bargain with landing an uptight, staunch Christian cheerleader... who's got Carl (Elliott Tittensor), Shane (Nicky Evans) and even Norma (Dystin Johnson) wrapped around her little finger. And Lillian (Alice Barry) is assigned to a witness protection programme but has great difficulty staying incognito on the estate.
