T.R. Knight is going to clean up his act during the writers' strike. You know there’s laundry to do and home things to work on," the Grey’s Anatomy star said when asked about what he'd be doing during the strike at Saturday night’s Point Foundation Awards and after-party at Jim Henson Studios. All kidding aside, Knight said, "You know, there are a lot of people who are not as well paid as actors and who have families. It’s kind of crazy."Also congrats to Mr. Knight for his successes in kicking a nasty habit. He was hanging out at the after-party when Ugly Betty’s Michael Urie asked to bum a cigarette."I just quit," Knight said. "I’m one-month strong."Hairspray director Adam Shankman was honored by the Point Foundation, which provides scholarships for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. His right arm was in a sling, because he was healing from elbow surgery. "I am so hopped up on f--king Vicodin right now," Shankman cracked.

But not so hopped up that he couldn't do some networking. Chatting with Urie later on, Shankman said, "Come audition for me."

Ugly Betty’s Judith Light presented ABC Television Network with the Visionary Award, which was accepted by ABC-Disney honcho Tim McNeal. "ABC has come a long way since that controversial, two-guys-in-a-bed scene on thirtysomething," Light said. "And just imagine if Laverne and Shirley had stopped dating all those male losers—and opened a bottle of chardonnay, had a little Brie..."

And here’s some scoop on the movie adaptation of He's Just Not That into You. Don’t look for any onscreen chemistry between real-life canoodlers Justin Long and Drew Barrymore. "We don’t have any scenes together," Long said. "I only have scenes with Kevin Connolly and Ginnifer Goodwin."

That’s a good thing for Barrymore, because Long doesn’t exactly play a nice fella. "I play a dick," he explained. "It’s kind of liberating. You can actually get that part of yourself out!"

More n Knight and his plans for the big screen this from 'E' Entertainment.
