The latest Hell's Kitchen chef Marco Pierre White hit out at Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay yesterday. He labeled Oliver's crusade to change school dinners "silly" and said his ex student Gordon was now "cheating" by not making food in his own kitchens.White lashed out as he got ready to come out of retirement after seven years to participate in ITV1's Hell's Kitchen. The 45 year old is quoted as saying in the Mirror:"Jamie's School Dinners was quite silly. Nothing has changed. The food is still awful."He also divulged: "I don't admire Jamie.I think when you walk down Downing Street to No 10 with a camera crew at the gates, it's a bit cynical. He's doing it for the wrong reason."In March, White will watch ten famous individuals as they compete to serve up dishes in a renowned eating establishment with 70 diners every evening. However he blasted Gordon for discouraging those thinking about becoming chefs on Hell's Kitchen. He further said in the newspaper: "I don't like the way my industry has been portrayed by certain individuals on TV. There's nothing wrong with shouting at people but if someone is struggling you've got to help them."
Marco. who taught Ramsay as a trainee and made him weep, said he parted ways with the hot-tempered cook some time ago:
"If someone doesn't enrich my life, or can't contribute anything, I don't want them to be part of my life. He doesn't enrich my life in any way."
"When you take your apron off and walk around in a jacket and charge high prices and you're not there I think you're cheating."
ITV said:"It's going to be fascinating to see whether, after seven years away, Marco's fiery passion still burns bright. I suspect that time hasn't mellowed him."
