'EastEnders' star June Brown has revealed if she hadn't got the part of Dot she would spend her time dissecting frogs.The 80-year-old actress, who plays busybody Dot Branning on the popular BBC soap, said she wanted to be a biologist before she got into acting.June told Britain's Inside Soap magazine: "I wanted to be an osteopath or a biologist - I loved dissecting frogs!"These days the Old Vic-trained actress nurtures her creature curiosity as president of the Michael Eliot Trust, which runs Freshfields donkey sanctuary in Derbyshire.The self-confessed chain-smoker also admitted she tries not to think about how many cigarettes she smokes.She said: "I don't count how many cigarettes I smoke a day - I think it's wiser not to!"Brown first appeared on British screens as Dot in 1985. She left after eight years only to return to the role in 1997.
In 2003 she won an Inside Soap Outstanding Achievement Award.
