If Cameron Mathison isn’t careful, he’s gonna find himself wearing his dancing shoes on All My Children. But the Dancing with the Stars contestant may not mind. Mathison, who also hosts the Style Network’s Instant Beauty Pageant, has actually been rehearsing his Dancing routines on the set of the soap opera whenever he gets a free moment.Talk about commitment.
After last night’s tango with his dancing partner, Edyta Sliwinska, Mathison took some time to email me about tripping on his partner’s dress, pumping himself up and being crowned a "lady-killer." Congrats! The judges really saw an improvement. Did you know when you were dancing that you had nailed it? I felt much better about the dance as I was doing it. I had more fun and was trying to bring a lot of character to it. I have no idea how the judges are ever going to react. So, I was very happy to finally get some good feedback.Bruno Tonioli called you a lady-killer and an alpha male. Are you? I have never been described as a lady-killer or an alpha male before! Am I? I think you have to ask the ladies that one. I'm not the right person to answer. You said last night, "This dance is my dance tonight." Why was that? I said that mostly to pump myself up. I really wanted to go in positive and attack it. There wasn't a lot of dress on your partner, Edyta. Were you nervous at all about stepping on her outfit and leaving her, well, exposed? I am kind of used to her wearing very little clothing. Even in practice, I joke with her about it. I was more afraid of stepping on her dress and tripping. It’s very different when all of sudden your partner is wearing a long dress, and it is getting in between your legs.
Did you and Edyta really rehearse on the All My Children set? Yes, we did. It started as something just for the cameras, but there was an area that was wide open and we stayed there and practiced for a few hours.
Any chance we're going to see you dancing now on All My Children? I have a feeling they will write it into the story at some point.
Are you happy that [former Abercrombie & Fitch model] Albert Reed was voted off? From what I can tell, this makes you the only male contestant left who could be showing some skin to help get votes.
I honestly don't like to see anyone go. Albert did a great job, and everyone misses him. Besides, Max [Chmerkovskiy, Mel B’s dancing partner] didn't seem too shy tonight taking his shirt off.
