New-boy DJ Brandon Block finally rocked up to the Celebrity Scissorhands Academy today after a prior engagement in Egypt. Close friend of Manager Lee Stafford, Brandon was feeling mischievous ‘I would say my customer service skills are exemplary…..I need a plaque above my station saying “It’ will grow back”’. It wasn’t long before he was wreaking havoc on his first client, enraging her so much, she became the Academy’s first ‘walk-out’.
24 year old Rachel wanted a revamp for her beautiful, mid-back length hair. ‘I will be gentle’ said Brandon with an evil glint in his eye. Not at all convinced, she was visibly nervous as Brandon began to hack huge chunks out of her hair. ‘I can’t do this..’ she shrieked ‘You’re butchering my hair……oh my god it’s not even straight!’ Excusing herself to go to the toilet, Rachel took her chance to flee the academy. Receptionist Leah was the first to alert Lee on the situation, which Brandon found hilarious. ‘She had a ‘block’ number’ he joked. After scaring off his first client, will Brandon ever keep anyone in the chair long enough to finish a haircut?
Another customer encountered a ‘Strange Experience’ as Assistant Manager Steve Strange created a monstrosity using his weapon of choice, the clippers. Sam from Leicester left the academy with an asymmetric haircut, reminiscent of yesterday’s Phil Oakey special merged with a V shaped bald patch shaved in to the back of her head. Not only was it the complete opposite of what she asked for, Lee dubbed it ‘The worst haircut I have ever seen’.
Trainee Ninia got a bit hot under the collar after seeing her first client Rob. ‘My client’s gorgeous’ she whispered to Lee. She thought her luck was in at the end of the day as Lee announced he had given her great feedback and also left his phone number. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be as Lee revealed her was winding her up about the phone number, resulting in Ninia giving him a playful smack.Everyone was on their very best behaviour as Crimewatch heartthrob and real-life policeman, Rav Wilding popped in for a massage with trainee Ninia. After he de-robed, to reveal his toned body she was left speechless ‘Are you a rugby player?’ she enquired.
Actor Kyal Marsh was treated to a seaweed wrap by fellow Neighbours star Ben and found the whole procedure extremely amusing ‘We’ve been friends for four and a half years and never taken it this far’ said Kyal whilst Ben rubbed the seaweed mixture in to his chest. Today saw The Academy’s most generous client to date, Katie pay an amazing £5000 of sponsorship money for a haircut with lucky trainee, Ben. After seeing his previous disaster haircut on Saturday, she was understandably concerned but Ben didn’t disappoint and Katie left with a fantastic haircut and BBC Children In Need with much needed funds.
