An incredible cast of queens are set to compete in the second season of Drag Race España, with some of Spain's most recognisable faces battling it out in a bid to become the country's next Drag Superstar.
Coming hot on the heels of a debut season that saw Carmel Farala crowned the winner, this second outing will see an all-new dazzling set and werkroom for the queens competing to enjoy.
Speaking of queens, here are the 12 vying for the crown this time round!
Ariel Rec
Ariel Rec is known for 'introducing' Spain to the Drag Race franchise, through reviews and recaps on her YouTube channel. This led to her becoming the host for Drag Race US winner Aquaria on her tour of Spain, so we know she's had the inside knowledge of how to compete! Unafraid to speak up for what she believes in, she's a versatile and creative perfectionist and, as one of Spain's best-known drag queens, there are high expectations for her going into the season.
Diamante Merybrown
Known for delivering social justice through her LGBTQIA+ activism, as well as serving some stunning killer lipsyncs, Diamante is a social butterfly who has lived in the Dominican Republic, Germany, France, Australia AND Spain. She says she has the "flavour of the Dominicans, the strength of the maños, the discipline of the Germans, the class of the French and the eccentricity of the Australians."
Drag Sethlas
As the only drag queen of the Drag Gala of the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria who has won the throne twice, Sethlas is one to watch. This conceptual queen takes inspiration from religion, adding a modern and sexy twist and serving it all up with a charming personality.
Estrella Xtravaganza
This talkative queen has a great sense of humour, tons of energy and, is best-known for her art and grace. She's sure to be an entertaining queen when she takes to the stage; get excited to watch this performer up on the Drag Race stage!
Jota Carajota
"No one is more diverse than me", says Jota, who describes themselves as "a gypsy, bisexual, trans-non-binary, Martian drag queen and folkloric person". Unafraid to unapologetically be themselves, Jota is sure to be captivating on the screen, with a unique and personal style unlike any we've seen come before.
Juriji Der Klee
You've heard of a triple threat, how about a quintuple threat? Juriji has been selected for both the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, as well as being asked to perform at Madame Arthur in Paris, France. With a style that goes beyond the norm, she's certainly not one to sleep on; and keep those eyes peeled for her great sense of humour!
Marina
Having started drag four years ago, Marina has made a living entirely from it for the past three. She wants to show that a non-binary type of drag can be a success, basing her art on femme fatales, murderous women, thieves and spies.
Marisa Prisa
Hailing from Lugo, Marisa was living in Madrid, but had to return to her home village to help work in her father's fish company. Now, she'll be hoping to serve fish on the runway, honing her craft after doing drag for the past two and a half years.
Onyx
Known for her alien sense of drag, Onyx is a creative artist with a rare and unique aesthetic. Her striking underground beauty is always eye-catching; will she be able to use that to her advantage on the Drag Race runway?
Samantha Ballentines
This Andalusian comedy queen has a quick-wit and competitive personality, so watch out for Samantha! Describing her trademark makeup as "very polished", she's pretty, yet striking and often exaggerated. She has her eyes on the prize after drag daughter The Macarena was sent home first in Season 1 of Drag Race España.
Sharonne
Completing her drag inspiration with Hollywood elegance and disco shine, Sharonne is someone who can't keep still, even launching a TikTok through quarantine with classic celebrity impressions, so that she could keep herself entertained. She's a professional up on the stage and, having already made a name for herself, it's going to be interesting to see how she competes here.
Venedita Von Dash
This showgirl knows how to captivate her audience, with a loud and domineering personality; but don't mistake that for overconfidence. She's going to give her all to succeed in this competition; will she draw on her sensual side to get further in the game?
Drag Race España Season 2 will debut exclusively on WOW Presents Plus in the UK and worldwide every week, alongside ATRESplayer PREMIUM in Spain, from March 27th, 2022.
