Dick & Dom are supporting NSPCC's Bobble Hat Day

We are both really excited to dig out our best bobbles on Wednesday 10 December to raise vital funds and awareness for the NSPCC's services including ChildLine - it's such a simple way to get involved and make an impact for a cause that is close to our hearts.

Whilst most kids are gearing up for a fun, family Christmas full of presents and laughter tragically it's not the same for all children. ChildLine offers help and support to thousands of children who are dreading the festive season and desperately need someone to talk to. By simply wearing a bobble hat and donating to the NSPCC, you can help ChildLine be there for more children this Christmas and throughout the year.

What can you tell us about the Bobble Hat Day cause, as it's the first time it's happening?

Bobble Hat Day is a UK-wide festive fundraising event calling on Brits to wear a bobble hat on Wednesday 10 December, text 'BOBBLE' to 70744 and donate £2 to the charity's Call For Help appeal. Each Christmas thousands of children turn to ChildLine for support and the money raised will make a big difference to children in danger and distress.

How can people get involved in supporting this cause?

There are loads of fun ways to get involved - the most simple is to get together with friends, family, colleagues or neighbours, wear a bobble hat on Wednesday 10 December and then donate £2 to the NSPCC. The NSPCC also encourages supporters to get creative with bobble hat bake-offs, DIY bobble hat competitions and even festive hat parties! Check out the NSPCC's website for inspiration.

You've worked on children's television for some time and done many things - what are some of your career highlights to-date?

Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow will always be up there, as will winning 4 BAFTAs over the 18 years that we've been together.

Do people still shout 'Bogies!' at you when they see you in public?

Every day - we think it will even be shouted at our funerals!

You've won awards for your time in television and the like, do you have more aims for your career going forward or are you now just happy to enjoy the ride?

We love doing what we do, but hopefully one day we can take our act to a more mainstream family audience.

What would be your dream job?

Saturday night 5pm on BBC 1 and an early Saturday morning show on BBC Radio 2 - you have to dream big!

What do you have coming up in the future?

We are continuing into our 19th year on CBBC as a double act and we will be touring in a town near you!
