With I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returning to our screens in just a couple of weeks (November 21st, 2021), the rumours surrounding exactly which famous faces will be taking part are becoming rampant!
Bearing that in mind, we’ve been scouring the web to see just which showbiz names may be making their way to Gwrych Castle in Wales! Here are the 16 celebrities rumoured to be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celeb…
Jade Thirlwall
Little Mix are more popular than ever before but, have been hitting the headlines as of late for less-than-positive reasons following rumours of a feud with former bandmate and now solo artist, Jesy Nelson. Could Jade be looking to focus her mind on something else? Popping some eccentric delicacies in her mouth to earn food for camp, perhaps? We know one person who’ll likely be voting her in for the trials…
Piers Morgan
Meh. Piers has always been an attention seeker and we imagine ITV are looking to cash in on all of the headlines he makes whenever he opens his mouth, but do we really need another middle-aged white man swallowing up airtime with their misinformed and uneducated opinions? No thank you. Please, for the love of all that is good, let this rumour simply be one that’s grasping at straws.
Maura Higgins
This Love Island fan-favourite is currently coping with yet another high-profile split, after her relationship with Strictly Come Dancing dance professional Giovanni Pernice broke down. Maura isn’t one to not let her feelings be known and as such, we imagine she would make for quite the entertaining competitor if ITV have made her an offer. Fingers crossed!
Sam Aston
Having been a part of ITV soap Coronation Street for 18 years and counting, could Sam Aston be taking a break from the cobbles to try his hand at something a little more unusual? Currently expecting his second child with wife Briony, we’re sure he could certainly use the extra bit of cash to get prepared for the little one's arrival!
Nadiya Hussain
Following her Great British Bake Off win and having baked a cake for Queen Elizabeth II herself, Nadiya is someone who’s used to having both sweet and savoury dishes to-hand. Exactly how she’ll fare with some of the stranger foods on offer in I’m A Celeb however, remains to be seen. She’s got an infectious personality and is someone you instantly root for; if she is truly taking part in this year's series, she could be one to watch.
Cheryl Hole
Category Essex: They call her Cheryl Hole! RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Cheryl Hole has one of, if not the single best drag name we’ve seen featured on the series, but if she is indeed getting set to take part in this year’s I’m A Celeb, we’re likely going to be seeing a lot more of her out-of-drag real-life persona, Luke Underwood. “I’m a f**king star!” she exclaimed following a slew of self-doubt on Drag Race UK; could we now be seeing her collect said stars for some grub?
Frankie Bridge
Wayne Bridge jetted off to Australia to compete in 2016’s I’m A Celeb and it appears, his experience was such a good one that wife Frankie is now set to get in on the action. The singer was very coy when questioned about the rumours on a recent episode of Loose Women, so her participation would be one of the most unsurprising turn of events for this year’s series.
Adam Woodyatt
Someone who we would be surprised to see taking part however, is EastEnders legend, Adam Woodyatt. He’s been a part of some of the most jaw-dropping storylines the BBC soap has ever presented, including one in recent years that saw his daughter killed by none other than his son and her little brother, thanks to an unfortunate thwack to the head with a jewellery box. Adam would undoubtedly go in as a favourite to win; would he be able to keep up the momentum? That’s a duff duff moment for another day…
Olivia Attwood
Another Love Island star here, in the form of feisty Olivia Attwood. We saw her romance Chris Hughes during her time on the dating show, but their relationship wasn’t one meant to last. Since that point, she has been a part of her own reality series as well as Celebrity Karaoke Club, and we’re sure there’s plenty more lined up. Could I’m A Celeb be next in the pipeline?
Matt Baker
He left The One Show back in 2020, so could this former Blue Peter presenter now be looking to take up the spotlight in a show entirely unlike anything he’s been a part of in the past? After finishing in second place during the eighth series of Strictly Come Dancing, he’ll be looking to go one step further and be crowned King of the Castle, if he really is participating in this year’s I’m A Celeb.
Arlene Phillips
This legend of showbusiness would be one of the most iconic I’m A Celeb competitors of all time and would prove that no matter what your age, you can still get your hands dirty, chip in and have a good old time. Whether she’ll be waltzing her way into the castle remains to be seen but, it would be nice to have Arlene back in the spotlight on primetime again.
Naughty Boy
The man behind some of the biggest tunes the world has ever heard, Naughty Boy, has collaborated with the likes of Sam Smith, Calum Scott and even the legendary Beyoncé herself. When celebs get bored in reality shows, they often put together a song of their own; could he help this year’s crop of talent put together a Christmas chart-topper?
Maya Jama
With millions of followers across her social media platforms, Maya Jama is one of Britain's most influential personalities and will be a major talking point of the series if set to appear. Achieving fame through her DJ-ing and presenting work, she'll likely be helping her fellow celebs achieve a ‘glow up’ whilst sleeping under the stars.
Roy Keane
Former professional footballer and now football manager and commentary legend, Roy Keane, could be heading up to Wales, though we’re not sure the balls he might be putting in his mouth are the ones he’s used to kicking around a pitch…
Lucy Fallon
Following her time as Bethany Platt on the cobbles of Coronation Street, Lucy will now be looking for a new entertainment outlet to sit alongside her roles in upcoming miniseries Tom Jones, and short film Whispers. She seems like somebody the audience would quickly get behind; will we be seeing her take part in the show?
Richard Madeley
Following rumours of a £300,000 three-year presenting deal on Good Morning Britain, Richard could be enjoying a boost to his earnings if he makes an appearance on I’m A Celeb this year. Like Piers though, his journalistic skills actually leave a lot to be desired; it’s simply his knack of consistently trending on Twitter and making controversial headlines that make him such a hot commodity.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! starts Sunday, November 21st, 2021 on ITV.
