There may only be a few days left of 2018, but for those of you lucky enough to have the next few days off work, there's plenty of content on Netflix to get through!
Black Mirror creators have just dropped an exciting new feature-length episode, but that's not all there is to watch. Here, we take a look at the best Netflix originals you should watch before 2018 is over.
7) Black Mirror - Bandersnatch
Netflix have been experimenting with interactive material for a little while now, but their most ambitious project to-date just dropped, with Black Mirror film Bandersnatch.
Audiences are being encouraged to tackle Bandersnatch multiple times, so that they can explore all of the different avenues this story can go down. Choices, challenges and dangers lurk around every corner, with consequences of course playing a huge part in the narrative.
Wise choices will lead to triumph, whilst the wrong path will end in disaster. Exactly what is "right" and "wrong" however is for viewers to decide...
6) You
Though it premiered on Lifetime in the United States, Netflix gained the rights to showcase new series You to the rest of the world (and any future seasons of the show including those that release in the US).
Developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, and based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, the show stars Penn Badgley as New York bookstore manager Joe Goldberg. He may be your run-of-the-mill, handsome young man, but when he falls for a customer called Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), his obsessive side rises to the surface.
Blurring the lines between what it is to be in love, and what it is to be an obsessive stalker, You is one of the most intense and addictive shows of 2018.
5) Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable
Returning to the world of stand-up and delivering her first stand-up comedy special in 15 years, Ellen DeGeneres is sure to have you rolling with laughter in her incredible Netflix original, Relatable.
The show sees Ellen revisit her earliest years, including the road she's travelled to stardom and the heartfelt lessons she's learned along the way.
Despite being one of the highest-paid celebrities in the United States, Ellen manages to remain likeable and relatable throughout. If you're looking for some proper belly laughs, this is the way to go.
4) Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle
Directed by Andy Serkis, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle is a gorgeous reinvention of Rudyard Kipling's iconic novel The Jungle Book.
Serkis himself stars alongside Rohan Chand in the titular role and an incredible A-list cast which also includes Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, Freida Pinto, Matthew Rhys and Naomie Harris.
This magical world is one we've seen on screen plenty of times, but Serkis manages to deliver the narrative in a way that feels fresh and unique. If you're staying in for New Year's Eve, this would be the perfect way to spend your night!
3) Perfume
Based on the Patrick Suskind novel of the same name, Perfume tells the story of a singer who is found murdered, with her scent glands removed from her body.
The German language series is an intense and thrilling affair, that will keep audiences guessing at every turn, before throwing away everything they think they knew and coming up with alternative conclusions altogether.
2) The Innocent Man
True crime junkies rejoiced when it was revealed John Grisham's non-fiction book, The Innocent Man would be making its way to Netflix as a six-part original docuseries.
Here, the murders of two women are explored, as well as the cases against the men who were sent to prison after being found guilty of their murders.
As a world of potential corruption opens up once more, those who have kept up-to-date with Netflix's catalogue of true crime originals will begin to notice similarities in the way certain residents of certain towns in America are treated by authorities.
This is a frustrating and thrilling ride.
1) Bird Box
The world's population is completely decimated in Netflix original film Bird Box, which puts Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock in the centre of its thrilling action.
Proving to be one of the most talked-about movies of the year despite its late release date, the Netflix original is best described as an intense and incredibly scary foray into a world that we've never seen, but one that is utterly believable.
An all-star cast also includes Trevante Rhodes, Sarah Paulson and John Malkovich, with Susanne Bier serving as director, working off of a screenplay by Eric Heisserer.
