With just a week left until we'll have our winner of Big Brother Canada season 4, it was Joel Lefevre who unfortunately fell at the last hurdle, with a vote of 3-0 sending him straight to the Jury House.

We got the opportunity to chat to Joel about his game, hopes for the future and more - find out what he had to say below...

Now that you've had a little time to reflect on your eviction, where do you think your game went wrong?

I think my game went wrong this week when I chose not to pick a side, that I chose to continue playing the middle game that I had been playing very, very effectively up until this point. It just got to a point where I couldn't appease every side of the house and I needed to pick a side and I chose not to. That proved to be my undoing, because both sides were a little suspicious of me, particularly Tim and Cassandra and they, called me out on it and that proved to be my undoing.

What's your favourite memory from your time in the house?

Probably day 21 when I had won that Head of Household with myself and Mitch. I think we were two of the most unlikely people to win that competition and, we had beaten out a lot of people who were big physical competitors in that locked lips challenge. To win that competition after having the spotlight on me in the Christine competition, then getting the HoH room, getting a letter from home, getting the pictures from home was a very, very overwhelming feeling. It was a great memory for myself - being able to win a Head of Household competition.

What have you made of the twists this season such as the brothers and international houseguests?

I've liked the twists this season because there have been twists that have always been within the players' control. I know sometimes people in this game are victimised by twists that they really can't do anything to get themselves out of, and they were very, very interesting twists, but twists that all the houseguests could play to and could still find a way out of.

You got married to Nikki in the house - will the pair of you be partying on the outside?

I'll definitely spend a lot of time with Nikki. Me and Nikki are people who are a little offbeat, a little quirky. There's a lot of parts about Nikki's personality that I really, really enjoy; there is also times when Nikki can be very, very frustrating to deal with but, she is definitely somebody who is a lot of fun and somebody who I will connect with. Not to the marriage standpoint, not on a romantic level as she said when we were married, but she is somebody I'm gonna be very, very close friends with after this.

Who do you hope is evicted next from the house and why?

I hope that it is Kelsey, just because Kelsey is somebody that I don't feel deserves to get to the end of the game and to win the game, and I would hope that if she is in a final two situation she does not get the votes because, Kelsey is somebody that has coasted through this game and has had Jared do all the strategising and all the campaigning for her, and I think that she has ridden coattails to get to this point. For the integrity of the game, I hope that it's Kelsey that goes out next.

You struggled with your emotions at times in the house - what kind of environment is the house like to live in?

The environment in the house is extremely stressful. You're always bombarded with a tonne of information from so many different people. It's very hard to distinguish fact from fiction when you're in there. A lot of times that amount of information is just overloaded in your brain and it becomes too much to handle. So, I got very, very emotional and it could be a very, very big struggle for me at times.

What do you think the final week of play in the house is going to be like?

The final week in the house is gonna be extremely crazy. There is so many possible scenarios that could happen, that it's just gonna boil down to who wins competitions. Tim has sort of sworn off the Threeak Show after what happened in the POV. Cassandra I know made a lot of deals with the brothers and with Kelsey that she would swear off Tim and go against it. I hope both of them see the light, that they need to unite together in order to take out Kelsey and the brothers. So, it's gonna be a very, very crazy week, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of heated confrontations.

Despite being evicted you are now a member of the Jury - how does that feel?

It's bittersweet. Getting to the Jury is definitely a satisfying feeling, knowing that I'm gonna have a hand in casting a vote for who is gonna win the $100,000 and represent our season as Big Brother Canada champion. At the same time I felt like I was in a great position and, I think making it to the final two, I definitely would have gotten a lot of respect from the Jury members and, I think I would have won against anybody that was left in the house. I think I would have taken $100,000 so, it's very bittersweet, coming that close and knowing that it came down to maybe just one competition, or one wrong decision.

What will you be looking for when casting your vote for the winner of Big Brother Canada?

Somebody who I felt played a strong strategic game, a strong social game and, a strong competitive game as well. There are people in there that... Everybody has played their own game and everybody has had a different strategy to get to this point and, I'll be looking for people who I feel were loyal, who I feel were able to get themselves out of sticky situations, were able to strategise effectively, were able to get in with people a lot. People who used what they had to their benefit.

Who will you be hoping to keep in touch with when all is said and done?

I think the number one person that I would love to keep in touch with at the end of this would be Cassandra. On a game standpoint, me and Cassandra saw the game in the same way. Cassandra was the one person who would always come to me, whether she was feeling down about herself on a personal level, or whether she wanted some advice on where to go in the game strategically, she's somebody who always came to me. So, Cassandra is somebody who I know I'm gonna be very, very good friends with and somebody who I will definitely want to connect with at the end of this.

Big Brother Canada continues Sunday and Wednesday before the special two-hour finale on Thursday, May 12 at 7pm ET/PT on Global.
