The second double eviction of the season took place last week on Big Brother Canada, sending Estefania 'Este' Hoyos straight out of the door and to the Jury house after she was placed on the block alongside Mark Drelich. Here, she talks about her time in the house, finding out about the Pretty Boys alliance and exactly how she'll be making her decision when she votes for a winner.
Why do you think the house chose to send you home over Mark?
I think that, obviously there's a Pretty Boys alliance, which I found out in the final goodbye messages, and I was next to one of those 'Pretty Boys', and they kept tight, so of course they were gonna send me home over him.
Despite being evicted you have made Jury! How does that feel?
It's honestly amazing. One of my biggest fears going into the house; first was being first to be evicted; second was to be evicted before the Jury house, so the fact that I made it here and I wasn't even the first Jury member; it's a lot. I'm very happy about it. I wish I would have come into the Jury house maybe a little bit later, maybe not at all, but it's better than nothing!
How will you be making your decision when it comes time to picking a winner?
My decision I think is gonna be based very heavily on; well first of all, I don't wanna be a bitter juror. I kinda wanna step away from that, I wanna look from the outisde in, see who played the best overall game, both in competitions but especially in their social game, that's gonna be huge for me, and someone who was able to be kind throughout the whole game; that's gonna be very, very important to me.
Is there any huge information you're hoping to get out of your time in Jury?
I think that, one day before Sam left, before she was put on the block she came to me and said, 'I don't want you to feel like you're disposable to Dane, because you're not', and after Dane voted me out, I'm very curious about why she said that, if she knew something that she didn't wanna tell me about. I think she'll have that bit of information, and she was very close to Adam obviously, so I'm excited to find out a little bit more about their relationship in the house and what they told each other.
What were some of your favourite moments from your time in the house?
One of my favourite moments for sure was during Dane's birthday, when we had dinner, we made a scrapbook, took some photos, it was such a beautiful night. It was just nice stepping away from the game, watching everybody sit down and do something together. Probably, just meeting Kiki, having such a strong relationship with her, I'm very excited to see her again, and all the other relationships that I built in the house.
