Leighton Meester in Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl return to U.S. screens tonight for the final time, and as much as we don’t want to say goodbye to Serena, Blair and the like, the time has come to bid them farewell.
Let’s not get too sad though, as there’s still plenty of time before the last goodbyes, with one last dramatic season in store for us.
So, in preparation for tonight’s return, we had a think about what questions we want answering before the curtain drops for one last time.
Who is Gossip Girl?
We’ve all got familiar with the dulcet tones of Kristen Bell as the eponymous Gossip Girl, but what we want to know is whether we’ll ever find out exactly who that is. Nate’s on the case though, and if he has anything to do about it, they’ll be public knowledge come breakfast.
Is there someone back there pulling the strings, is it someone we already know, or is it just an evil clone of Perez Hilton? Hopefully we’ll find out who the figure in the hood and mask was before the end of this final series.
Who will Blair end up with?
Blair’s not had the smoothest of romantic pasts, flitting between the anti-heroic Chuck and the sensitive Dan over the last couple of years. At the end of season 5, it seems as though Blair’s made up her mind, telling Chuck she’s his for the taking.
With a whole season remaining though, there’s plenty of time for her to flip-flop once again back into the arms of Dan. Will she stick with Chuck as he attempts to return to the throne of Bass Industries or will she be lead astray once again?
As this is Gossip Girl, we think it’s pretty certain she’s not going to end up as a burnt out spinster surrounded by a legion of cats, but apart from that, we really don’t know who she’ll be riding off into the sunset with.
Where the heck is Serena?
At the end of last season we saw Serena go a little bit native. With Blair throwing her out, she returned to her wild days of before, with her sleeping with Dan in a fit of spiteful rage and falling off the drugs wagon once again.
With her whereabouts unknown, when will Serena make here comeback to New York and what chaos will she bring along with this time is anyone’s guess.
And also, when she returns, will Blair be able to forgive Serena for her part in the dairy upload and for sleeping with Dan?
