With television comes a whole lot of fictional couples, so we've decided to take a look at 10 pairings that we just can't get enough of - even if their respective TV shows have now come to an end! Check out our list below...
Ross & Rachel - David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston - 'Friends'
"We were on a break!" One of the most recognised television quotes globally, and one made famous by this incredible duo. The pair's relationship flip-flopped over the entire 'Friends' run, but eventually the pair realised the only place for one another was in each other's arms.
Sookie & Eric - Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgard - 'True Blood'
Controversial? Perhaps - but we prefer Sookie in the muscled vamp arms of Eric over the sometimes-depressing Bill and wolfy Alcide. "I know I'm a vampire, Snookie!" Pure brilliance.
Rachel & Finn - Lea Michele and Cory Monteith - 'Glee'
On-screen and off-screen romance caught up with this pair, and the sudden passing of Cory came as a shock to 'Glee' fans all over. Their relationship will forever be remembered as one of the sweetest on television.
Buffy & Angel - Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz - 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'
Buffy was always running into a spot of trouble, and we loved when she could take a few seconds out to sit back and relax with lover Angel. The pair were clearly made for each other - even when Angel's rival Spike made a play for the slayer.
Peter & Lois - 'Family Guy'
These two keep the laughs coming as they entertain millions with their upside-down unbelievable but hilarious lives. One could never be without the other.
Chuck & Blair - Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester - 'Gossip Girl'
Both are damaged, both are devious, but both so desperately want to be loved, which is why Chuck and Blair were quite simply a perfect fit.
Daniel & Emily - Josh Bowman and Emily VanCamp - 'Revenge'
Apart from looking absolutely amazing together, the on-screen line between what's real and what's not is blurred between these two, as Emily planned to get revenge on the Graysons. Things went very south ending in Daniel shooting Emily and causing her to never be able to conceive. Despite all that, we still preferred Emily and Daniel to Emily and Jack.
Nikita & Michael - Maggie Q and Shane West - 'Nikita'
What's sexier than an ass-kicking duo who want to take down corrupt organisations while engaging in a steamy relationship? Nothing! The two manage to steal kisses in between dodging bullets and karate chopping their way out of danger, and we love it.
Meredith & Derek - Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo - 'Grey's Anatomy'
From day one this pair have had chemistry, and with some major ups and downs throughout their time together and apart, it was clear there was no getting away from each other. Well, up until the moment viewers were hit with a big WTF and [spoiler alert] Derek was killed. Sad face.
Damon & Elena - Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev - 'The Vampire Diaries'
They may no longer be dating in real life, but Damon and Elena gave 'Vampire Diaries' fans exactly what they want on-screen. It's a shame we won't see that chemistry again, with Elena now out of the series completely.
