More women were found to plan their holidays in bed in comparison to men, reveals hotels.com research done on behalf of their mobile app. This app is free to download on most devices, but the information they found is highly amusing. 1 in 5 women admitted to bedtime browsing and only 1 in 10 men said they used their phones to browse holidays in bed.
‘The loo’ is another common place for bookings as 8.5% of people have looked through or booked a holiday when on the toilet (rising to 10% of men).
Laura Watts from Hotels.com commented: “With the boom of mobile devices, people no longer need to be confined to a desk when it comes to planning their next getaway. There are also lots of last-minute and exclusive deals that are available through mobile devices, so whether you’re on your way to work, relaxing in bed or even on the toilet, you can book holidays and snap up bargains as soon as they become available, straight from your smartphone.”
