The value hotel chain has revealed that the summer of national pride has led to a host of British themed memorabilia being left behind by guests at its hotels.
Some of the more bizarre items left by guests this summer include a life-size cut out of Kate Middleton, 18 masks of The Queen and 12 of Prince Phillip.
Alongside a selection of truly British items, Premier Inn team members also found a wedding cake that had been left behind by a groom and best man, a nun’s habit and a set of false teeth.
Claire Haigh, Head of Communications for Premier Inn, said: “We were really surprised at some of the items that our team members uncovered over the last few months.
"It’s been a summer of national events and our lost and found certainly had a British theme! The good news is that our teams have worked hard to return a lot of the items that were left behind,” she added.
The following items were found in Premier Inn hotels between June and September 2012:
- A wedding cake
- Luxury car keys
- 3x Eurostar tickets
- A set of false teeth
- A riding crop
- An air hostess uniform
- 9x rubber ducks
- A Nun’s habit
- £500 cash
- A life-size cut-out of Kate Middleton
- 18x masks of The Queen
- 12x masks of Prince Philip
- 36x union jack flags
- 2x tickets to the 100m men’s final
