Could you go without an alcoholic drink on your flight?

With ScotRail announcing a ban on alcohol aboard its trains after 9pm; Skyscanner has found that many British travellers would welcome a similar policy on flights.

Over half of respondents said they would prefer to fly ‘dry’ if it avoided having their journey disturbed by drunken fellow passengers.
Only 45 per cent would be against dry flights as they believe the journey is the beginning of their holiday and a time to sit back and relax with a drink as they head off on a much-needed break.
Skyscanner spokesperson, Sam Poullain said: “Many of us enjoy a tipple during a flight and see the journey as the start of our holiday.

"We were surprised to see how many would be happy to wait until they reach their destination before taking their first holiday drink if it means avoiding a few hours sitting next to someone who’s clearly had one too many," Sam added.
