Once again Disney has opened up their iconic pastel gates to yet another whimsical wonder. Combing the wild African plains with the vibrant Indian Jungle, this weekend Disneyland Paris showcased to the world their Brand new Lion King & Jungle Festival. Beautifully inspired by two of Disney’s most iconic films, The Lion King and The Jungle Book, the summer-long extravaganza will promise guests an immersive experience like no other.

Within the park’s rustically famous Frontierland a brand new ‘Djembe Joy’ Village has emerged. The remodeled space acts as the wild and wonderful hub for the festival itself and is also home to the highly anticipated Rhythms of the Pride Land stage show, the seated spectacle that packs a pumba punch for Disney guests who have the opportunity to visit before the end of September. Having grown up with the Lion King as my favourite film I may be somewhat biased in my review but from the moment the theatre curtains opened up and the powerful drum beats filled the air, the emotionally charged lyrics of ‘The Circle of Life’ sent shivers down my spine. The show is phenomenal and features all of the classic songs from the film, telling the tale of tails beautifully through impressive production and incredibly talented performers.

The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride land will run three times a day at 12:30pm, 1:30pm or 4:05pm and the performance has a queue system just like any other attraction in the park.

As well as The Lion King Show there is a limited edition parade that takes place in the main town and central area of the park and similarly to the classic character parade, the performance consists of Disney guest appearances and professional dancers who, with the aid of a live singer and musicians, create a magically moving presentation for all to enjoy.
