Last month (September 2019), The LEGO Group premiered their brand new Rebuild the World campaign, which saw iconic landmarks from across the UK reimagined through the eyes of a child. Now, as part of the company's ongoing commitment to that campaign, they've teamed up with London National Park City, to launch the London LEGO Rebuilder workshops at London's Southbank Centre.
Families who visit London across the October half term will be able to take part in free events on October 21st-22nd at the Southbank Centre, with events also taking place across the UK at other locations.
The UK Rebuilder workshops allow children to express their views on how their own cities could be rebuilt, to be a more fun and playful place. They can use LEGO bricks to put their vision together, and are encouraged to meet a number of different challenges, such as making their city more green and welcoming for wildlife.
Daniel Raven-Ellison of London National Park City said: "Our mission is to encourage more people to enjoy the great outdoors by creating safe, green and wild spaces that children can explore and play in. Through this partnership with the LEGO Group we are giving kids the power to imagine and bring to life what they’d like from the city they live in. With no cap on creativity, who knows what the capital could look like, and what ideas could be brought to life in the future…".

The UK Rebuilder Workshops taking place nationwide are our opportunity to show our commitment to giving children the platform to make a change – build, then rebuild whatever they want with no right or wrong answer, just the opportunity to see what rebuilding a world with endless possibilities looks like."
