Where's the world's best beach holiday?
A lucky couple from Southampton are getting ready to travel around the world in a bid to find the perfect beach destination on behalf of ebookers.
On 6th July, Darren Riley and Nicola Rawson will embark on a holiday unlike any other, as they travel Europe, UAE and Egypt in their new role as the ebookers beach reporters.
"We’re excited about spending time together on some of the most romantic beaches whilst sharing our experiences and insider tips along the way."
The trip will take them across three continents, to 10 destinations, over the next three weeks in search of the ultimate beach escape and the two will be sharing their personal tips and experiences along the way.
The Beach Reporters were recruited to help find the ultimate beach destination after ebookers.com, carried out research to discover more about couples’ holiday habits. The poll of 2,000 adults revealed that couples’ arguments start before even setting off on holiday, with 52 per cent not being able to agree on the destination. Whilst the destination selection process is trying, 72 per cent of Brits favour a beach holiday.
Darren and Nicola were selected after successfully completing a four stage interview process which included a written application, a short telephone 
interview, Facebook fan votes and a face-to-face interview testing their written and presentation skills.
Nicola Lawson said: “I was already a fan of ebookers on Facebook so when I saw the competition, I knew we’d be the perfect fit. As a couple, we love to travel and spend much of our free time exploring far flung destinations and different cultures.
"We’re excited about spending time together on some of the most romantic beaches whilst sharing our experiences and insider tips along the way. We know that it’s going to be a challenging few weeks as we’re visiting a number of destinations in a relatively short period of time, but we’re really looking forward to it,” she added.
Their trip itinerary was compiled by ebooker’s travel experts who have selected 10 of the top searched beach destinations and hotels that offer a romance factor to be reviewed by the Beach Reporters. On their trip, Nicola and Darren will be working from a list of criteria compiled by ebookers’ team 
of travel experts and throwing in a few tips of their own.
The couple will be blogging and tweeting about their experiences, providing photography, reviews and video footage. The public will be able to follow their trip at facebook.com/ebookers and @ebeachreporters.
