Splash Windmill
Ever since I watched Jonathan Creek as a teenager (and bought myself the dvd box set in last year's January sales) I have always wanted to live in a windmill….
Whilst I know that's probably never going to happen, I have now set my sights on saving up for this whole year and treating myself to a windmill holiday in 2012.… so over the next week or two, I'm going to share with you my favourite windmills on the web.
Splash Windmill
Set in a quiet village location near to Windsor, the two character properties include a heavily beamed four storey wooden windmill, and a bijoux, romantic 1 bedroom cottage.
One of the properties at this gorgeous renovated windmill with all mod-cons has a Juliet balcony overlooking the River Thames - the perfect setting for any aspiring Romeo to pop the question.
Positioned on a small river which runs through the grounds, the windmill has a veranda running round the outside of the entire first floor, overlooking the village bowling green.
Dine a deux on the riverside patio and watch the world… and the regal swans float by. This is the ideal setting for romance to blossom. The Splash Mill sleeps six people in three bedrooms, including a four poster kind sized bed, and The Stable Cottage sleeps two. Both are perfect for a relaxing break with lots to explore in nearby Windsor.
