The Liverpool Jurys Inn is ideally located right next to the Echo Arena and big wheel. With stunning views across the River Mersey and Liverpool by night, this hotel is perfect for a night out on the town.
A mere 10 minute walk from Liverpool Central Station and Albert Dock, there is everything from bars, restaurants, museums, tours and shops all on your doorstep.
Although there is no parking directly outside the hotel, there is a multi-story behind. It costs £12.00 overnight; however you get a 25% discount if you request an extra ticket from the hotel as you leave.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Kelley, who checked us in and offered us a wakeup call. She asked us if we wanted a reservation at the hotel restaurant, however we wanted to eat out, so politely declined. The hotel however offers a very reasonable menu either in the restaurant or bar or up in your room if the weather is bad or you fancy staying on site. There is also an all-day Costa coffee bar if you need to replenish your energy with a quick cuppa.
I would recommend that you ask for a room on one of the top floors, as the views of Liverpool are second to none. We had a room overlooking the big wheel and Echo Arena and could see the three graces as well as the Albert Dock and the River Mersey. When we returned to our room it was dark and the city was an illumination of colour so we slept with the curtains open.
Our room was clean and spacious, with a double and single bed, an en suite bathroom and complimentary toiletries. We also had a flat screen TV with Freeview, free WI-FI, hair dryers and extra pillows upon request, so everything we needed to see us through the night.
The breakfast was buffet style with a selection of cooked breakfast items and tea, coffee, juice and cereals, all well cooked and stocked.
We enjoyed looking around the shops at Liverpool One which are open till late all week. I can highly recommend you pay a visit to the food court in Chavasse Park where there is a selection of restaurants from around the world to suit everyone’s tastes. And if you really can’t decide there is a Red Hot Buffet right at the end of them all that does a bit of everything!
If you are booking to see an act at Liverpool Echo Arena, want a night out on the tiles or are on business, this hotel caters for all of your needs. It is near all the action but avoids the hustle and bustle of the city centre, so you get a good night’s sleep.
While we were there we saw a lot of hen and stag dos, who were using the hotel as a base for their night’s activities, as well as sports teams who stayed at the hotel before a big game. As there was such a variety of people who were staying at the hotel, it proved just how versatile the establishment is, catering for people with very different motivations.
