It’s one of those things that the internet does best; comparing flights, hotels and holiday offers to get you the cheapest deal out there to help you create your perfect trip.
However, what many of us don’t take into account when finding out the “cheapest” deal are all the hidden costs.
Does the site you are booking through charge you for debit or credit card payments? Are you going to need to spend extra on taxes or baggage costs? And what happens when you get there - will transfers to the hotel be included and if not, how much is that going to cost you?
Before you book your holiday, you should always factor in all potential costs and look for the official ATOL logo.
Teletext Holidays has launched a campaign called Real Holidays Real Prices for this reason, which shows you upfront what all the costs are.
If you are booking your holiday and want to make sure you get the best deal, then watch our video with Dominic Littlewood, the Consumer Champion, where he gets to the bottom of these hidden costs.
