Here's some of the most stylish holiday homes from Holiday Lettings

Folie des Amoureux, Bonnac, Ariège, Midi-Pyrenées, France

This beautiful 18th century ‘lover's folly’ is located in the stunning private park of Château de Bonnac and is perfect for a romantic escape. After it fell into a state of disrepair the owners, friends and history buffs Pierre and René, restored the folly to its former glory in the original pastoral style. There’s plenty to explore in the area including the beautiful countryside and the nearby medieval town of Mirepoix and its markets. There are plenty of activities on offer including canoeing, riding, cycling and golf. Pamiers is within 15 minutes and the city of Toulouse within 45 minutes. Sleeps up to two (one bedroom), from £500 per week.

The Calfshed & The Lambshed, Upcott Farm, Georgeham, Croyde, Devon

When music industry executive Ben and his wife Sarah fell in love with a large derelict farm in North Devon in 2005 they packed their bags, left London and spent the next few years restoring this large property. First they concentrated on the beautiful main house, which they now live in with their two daughters, and more recently they converted two farm buildings into holiday homes, the Calfshed and the Lambshed. With a keen interest in design and interiors, they designed both homes using a combination of traditional and modern materials in a way that reflected the barn's past. The result is the perfect stylish country retreat set in lovely gardens, ideal for families or large groups if the barns are let together.

The Calfshed: sleeps up to four (two bedrooms), from £600 per week.
