Firstly if you are travelling to Carden Park via a sat nav, then get out your map as this is much more reliable! Due to unforeseen reasons, sat navs do not bring you out at the right place!
Carden Park is set back against the Cheshire countryside, so beyond the gate is a leisurely tour around the meandering driveway past the golf course for about half a mile until you find yourself at the main building.
The spa is well signposted from there and has its own car park. The spa is ideally situated next to a restaurant and hairdressers, so you can have all your needs catered for if you are looking for a pamper day.
Due to timing issues, we were late for our appointment, however the lady was very helpful and arranged a later appointment for us so we had longer to enjoy our lunch and time in the pool area.
The meal served in the adjoining restaurant and was prompt after placing our order form a set menu provided for us in the spa waiting room. We had the Greek salad and club sandwich, with a glass of wine both of which were beautifully presented and made with quality ingredients.
The pool is large enough to do laps in the swimming lane, but also has seating around to for those who simply want to read while listing to the lapping of the water by their feet!
The sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi provide an alternative to swimming, and the hot and cold showers allow you to cool down or warm up in preparation for your treatments.
With full secure locker facilities you can rest assured that your belonging will be safe while you go upstairs to the treatment rooms.
The waiting room is darkened with plenty of reading material and the long beds let you relax and unwind before your treatment to get you in the frame of mind for more chill out time!
The girl who performed my back, neck and shoulder massage was very attentive and asked me to fill out a form to declare any health problems that may affect the treatment and how I liked my massage to be applied, I was given the option of three different oils, one for relaxation and one for revigoration.
The darkened room and soothing music made the entire experience enjoyable and restful.
I would recommend Carden Park spa to anyone either looking for a day out with an extra special treat or as part of your hotel stay!
