Rising snow stars
Tyrol & Saalbach, Austria
Austria is becoming increasingly popular with the British ski crowd. Enquiries in both the ski region of Tyrol, which includes the ski resorts of Kitzbühel and Ischgl, and Saalbach, one of Austria’s most popular resorts with an excellent snow record, nearly doubled year on year (97 per cent). The number of holiday homes is growing steadily in both areas too.

Bormio, Italy
This lovely Italian resort in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy has 50 km of marked ski runs, 14 lifts and several ski schools. It’s a regular stop on the World Cup circuit and the Pista Stelvio is one of the most challenging courses in the world. Bormio saw a 30 per cent uplift in demand and is a great option for more serious skiers.

Soldeu, Andorra
Andorra has long been a favourite with skiers in search of a cheaper alternative to the Alps, and Soldeu is considered to be one of Europe’s best budget resorts. It’s certainly doing well, with a growing number of self-catering options and a 28 per cent uplift in demand.
