Earlier this year the hotel launched its Babymoon experience - a two-night stay that includes a 60-minute REN spa treatment for mum, whilst dad can relax in the bar with a book from the Library or enjoy a spa treatment of his own. The hotel can also arrange shopping trips to the town’s baby boutiques, create indulgent non-alcoholic cocktails and even organise pregnancy photo-shoots. Prices from £299.

Summer Lodge, Dorset

Finally, set in four acres amid picturesque Dorset countryside, Summer Lodge is a relaxing weekend retreat offering a programme of Mama Mio maternity treatments designed to relax, comfort and nourish. It has educated some of history’s most famous people, including members of the Royal family.

Fit for a Princess

Ladies who are expecting know it’s important to keep fit and healthy during pregnancy. The Forge Yoga Centre in Devon offers an evening class specifically designed for pregnant women. Recommended for those beyond 12 weeks of pregnancy, the classes include breathing and birthing techniques, general strengthening exercises and massage to provide practical help and support in the months approaching birth. Two-hour classes costs £8.50.

In addition, Yoga Jeannie uses historic houses in Kent and East Sussex as peaceful retreats. Instructor Jean Hall hosts the weekends, which include seven yoga classes over three days, allowing mums-to-be to fully immerse themselves in her yoga techniques.

In the capital, Tri-yoga offers a range of pregnancy yoga classes from the second trimester onwards.So if you're in preganat and living in London, this could be the perfect escape for mothers-to-be.
