A lot of people were nervous about the new addition of CBeebies Land to one of the UK's leading theme parks Alton Towers. Britain has a tendancy to do big things such as this but then fail on delivering, but it turns out that those cautious had unwarranted worries.
Absolutely perfect for the little ones - children aged from between one and around six or seven years old - there are an array of recognisable attractions featuring some of the most-loved names on the CBeebies channel.
Walking in you're greeted with Mr Tumble's Sensory Garden - a place aimed at children of all abilities and designed to help children with language development - inviting them to follow the trail of Mr Tumble's spotty bag and look out for special objects throughout the woodland and garden.
Grandad Tumble's shed makes an appearance immersing guests into the world they usually only see on a television screen and capturing the magic of what CBeebies is really all about.
I even found my 21-year-old self excited when walking into Justin's House Pie-O-Matic Factory, a place of chaos where children and guardians are given bags to fill up with foam balls which can then be shot out of air cannons and guns into the Pie-O-Matic 5000 machine.
Hilarity ensues when you miss and the balls go flying towards others taking part, and I'd be lying if I didn't admit to purposely aiming for my fellow pesky journos whilst they did their best to get a good angle for their photographs.
Other attractions include the In The Night Garden Magical Boat Ride where kids can meet the characters of the show including Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy whilst slowly floating around a peaceful and elegant course, and Postman Pat Parcel Post where the young ones take the steering wheel and deliver five packages through Greendale.
Those looking to spend some time eating their packed lunches and picnics can go to the Big Fun Showtime area where a full schedule of events is provided and big stars including Nina and the Neurons, Mike the Knight and The ZingZillas can be met and interacted with.
Former Squirrel Nutty ride has been transformed into the brand new Get Set Go Tree Top Adventure where you ride in your vehicle amongst the top of the trees, getting a view of CBeebies Land like no other and after you've taken in the sights you can enjoy some scientific fun in Nina's Science Lab, a hub of education and fun rolled together as our five senses are put to the test.
With Mr. Bloom on holiday, his Allotment is being looked after by friends who need the help of many Tiddlers to feed Compo, solve a radish-sized problem and sing the Veggies to sleep. It's a hands-on 10 to 20 minute feature that will light kid's imaginations on fire.
For the bigger kids there's Tree Fu Tom's Training Camp - basically an area with typical park additions including a climbing frame and balancing stumps - but designed so that it emulates some of Tom's wildest adventures and testing training.
Another highlight would be Charlie and Lola's Moonsquirters & Greendrops where you can visit the doodled pair at their home on Crocodile Street, helping them dress up in lots of different outfits and even venturing into Greenland which is always raining greendrops, whilst being able to walk on water watching the ocean nibbles swim in the supermarket under the sea.
With so much to do, those travelling to take their 'Tiddlers' to CBeebies Land should set aside a good two to four hours to explore every nook and cranny, as you wouldn't want to miss out on everything that's on offer.
It's a real joy to be able to go and be a part of something so special with your loved ones, and memories made there will surely be ones that children, parents and guardians treasure forever.
Baby changing facilities are provided and pushchairs can be hired for a deposit of £10.
Alton Towers CBeebies Land is open now, and children under 4 don't have to pay for entry to the park. More information on booking, prices and CBeebies Land can be found at www.altontowers.com
