Rome
Rome is hosting the Six Nations Italy versus Ireland rugby match on 5th February. Rome merges the new with the old to engage all mindsets and is home to the Collesseum, the Trevi Fountain and Vatican City- making it a historical gem for sightseeing. Barcelona
The Nou camp is one of Europe’s most spectacular football grounds and better still, it’s found in the exciting city of Barcelona. With La Liga fixtures taking place throughout winter there are countless opportunities to visit this Catalonian hotspot. Whisk your man away and let him get his fix of football while you enjoy the buzzing atmosphere of La Rambla – the place to head to for authentic tapas, Spanish bars and shops galore.
Valencia
For those who like their leathers, Valencia’s Circuito de Valenciana hosts the Valencia MotoGP this November. Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi will be speeding round the track and after enjoying the high speed thrills you can head to Valencia’s beach for some winter sun, the city centre to look at old Spanish architecture and one of the countless restaurants for some Paella and sangria!
