It is UK holiday destinations that have benefited the most from the recent travel uncertainty caused by the ash cloud and ongoing strikes. According to figures released by Hotels.com, searches for locations in the UK have increased dramatically by up to 73%*.
The figures show searches for UK destinations such as Bath up 73% year on year. Also hugely popular were Glasgow up 52% and Edinburgh up 42%. Whilst a little further afield, searches for Guernsey were up 37% year on year.
