British actresses Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet and Emma Watson all tied in second place.
Oscar-winner Colin Firth was voted favourite male companion followed by footballer David Beckham and actor Orlando Bloom.
Around 2,000 poeple were surveyed by Air New Zealand which asked people to nominate a celebrity to share a trans-Atlantic flight with.
