Luxury Tour Operator – Discovery Travel and sister Wedding Planning Company - Luna Rosa have seen an increase in bookings for weddings and luxury holiday experiences in Italy over the past year. Their latest experience is an Andrea Bocelli Concert in Sicily.
Emma Wood, who founded Discovery Travel and Luna Rosa 12 years ago says:
”We have seen a dramatic change in the way our clients take their holidays from individual clients booking short breaks to larger groups booking luxury private villas and specialist tours. This is the 4th year Discovery Travel will be organising the Music Tour to see Andrea Bocelli and this year his concert will be in Sicily on 1st July. For just one day in July, Andrea Bocelli will perform in a spectacular, open air concert at the Greek Amphitheatre, “Teatro Greco” in the coastal town of Siracusa in Southern Sicily and unusually, this will be Andrea’s only European summer concert this year. And, with a capacity of just 6,000, the best seats are limited and in demand.
Emma went on to say that despite the current economic climate, bespoke luxury tours and wedding bookings in Italy have increased by 300% for 2012. Emma added,
“Another trend we are noticing is that wedding guests are staying on in Italy longer, combining weddings with the main family holiday and staying on at least one week. Wedding parties in Italy are also getting larger with weddings of 80 guests or more.”
Guests at Andrea’s concert in Sicily will stay at the exclusive 5 star Grand Hotel Minareto in Siracusa in a Superior Room with Sea View for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast.
