Twitter has flagged another tweet by US President Donald Trump as "misleading".
The micro-blogging site has warned users that the post violates their Civic Integrity Policy due to the health claims made by the world leader, while it could also "potentially dissuade people from participation in voting".
Twitter has, however, left the tweet visible on his page.
The tweet on Sunday (23.08.20) saw Trump claim that voting by mail drop boxes could encourage fraud and also not be Covid-secure.
He wrote: "So now the Democrats are using Mail Drop Boxes, which are a voter security disaster. Among other things, they make it possible for a person to vote multiple times.
"Also, who controls them, are they placed in Republican or Democrat areas? They are not Covid sanitised. A big fraud!"
The official Twitter Safety page retweeted the post, and added: "We placed a public interest notice on this Tweet for violating our Civic Integrity Policy for making misleading health claims that could potentially dissuade people from participation in voting."
In May, Trump's administration signed an executive order directing federal regulators to crack down on social media platforms like Twitter.
Trump ranted: "They've had unchecked power to censure, restrict, edit, shape, hide, alter virtually any form of communication between private citizens or large public audiences."
