TikTok has launched a legal challenge against the Trump administration over to plans to have it shutdown in America.

The Chinese video service is facing an uncertain future in the US, where it was previously warned it would be shutdown on Thursday (12.11.20).
Earlier this year, Donald Trump called for ByteDance - which developed the popular app - to be bought by an American company.
In response, TikTok said in a statement: "TikTok has actively engaged with CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) in good faith to address its national security concerns, even as we disagree with its assessment.
"In the nearly two months since the president gave his preliminary approval to our proposal to satisfy those concerns, we have offered detailed solutions to finalise that agreement but have received no substantive feedback on our extensive data privacy and security framework."
TikTok previously proposed creating a "new entity wholly owned by Oracle, Walmart and existing US investors in ByteDance, that would be responsible for handling TIkTok's US user data and content moderation".
However, TikTok's future in the US has become even less clear in recent days, with Joe Biden having been declared President-elect.
