Between now and Christmas Eve (24.12.20), children can connect with jolly old St. Nick online through the Santa at Home project.

The 12 minute calls - which can accommodate six children and an unlimited number of adults from anywhere in the UK - aim to bring some festive magic to people's lives despite the coronavirus pandemic.

The event organiser - entertainment company Underbelly - has promised a personalised experience for the families involved.

They said: "Thanks to Santa's mind-boggling memory, some elbow grease from the elves and some help from the big children, Santa will know the names (and plenty more...) about absolutely every child he meets."

The virtual calls come as Anthony Fauci - the US' leading infectious disease expect - revealed Father Christmas is immune to Covid-19.

He recently said: "Santa is not going to be spreading any infections to anybody.

"Santa is exempt from this because Santa, of all the good qualities, has a lot of good innate immunity,”
