Jeff Bezos' ex-wife MacKenzie Scott has donated more than $1.7 billion since their divorce to 116 organisations.

The Amazon CEO and the novelist-and-philanthropist terminated their marriage last year after more than a decade as a married couple.
And now, MacKenzie - who was left with a fortune estimated to be around $36 billion, making her the 13th-richest person in the world - has revealed she has given a portion of her money to LGBTQ+ and gender equality organisations, as well as public health and climate change.
Scott - who has legally swapped her surname to her middle name - joined the 'The Giving Pledge' campaign, started by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett in 2010, which encourages millionaires to donate their fortune.
To date, more than 200 people have made the commitment.
Scott said in a blog post this week: "Last year I made a commitment to give the majority of my fortune to help society. Personal fortune only resides in the effort of many people. Like many of you, I experienced the first half of 2020 as a heartbreak and scene from a horror movie. But I keep hope."
The boss of Amazon remains the richest person in the United States, as per Bloomberg.
The divorce is reported to stem from an alleged affair between Bezos and TV Lauren Sanchez.
Following the divorce, Scott has claimed a quarter of the fortune of the founder of Amazon.
