Elon Musk has claimed his Six Million Dollar Man device that will enable the paralysed to walk is a "a year away".

The billionaire entrepreneur is confident the revolutionary piece of tech, essentially a brain implant, measuring an inch in diameter, which is capable of fixing many issues with the brain and can even improve visual impairment - as well as helping epilepsy and stroke sufferers - will be inserted into a human's brain in 12 months time.
Although, whilst he gave the timeline for its launch, Musk cautioned that there is "still a lot of work to do" to get it to this stage.
The Tesla boss said: "The device were are working on right now is about an inch in diameter.
"It has a battery and a bluetooth and a charger and the electrodes are inserted into the brain by robot.
"It can help with a range of brain injuries from epilepsy to stroke and muscle control and memory and eyesight.
"The device is a substitute for circuits that are broken. There is still a lot of work to do.
"When I say we've got a shot at putting this into a person in a year I mean exactly that hopefully restoring some functionality that they have lost."
Musk - whose firm teamed up with NASA last month to launch the SpaceX Crew Dragon into space - named Six Million Dollar Man after the 70s TV show - in which an astronaut played by Lee Majors is rebuilt with bionic implants.
