Hi Alli, Depending on what you're planning to wear you're fifties skirt to, you cannot go wrong by keeping your top simple. A sheer, plain blouse with a little detail or a cream coloured evening top would work well. Just remember to keep the colour neutral so as to not take anything away from the shape and style of the skirt. Take a similar stance with shoes. To keep the look formal, find a high court shoe either neutral or the same colour as the skirt. If you're out in the sun then go for a wedge. It's in keeping with the season and works well in going from a day to an evening look with no effort at all. One suggestion - stay away from pointed stilettos. They don't do anything for the look and take away from the feminine, dainty aspect ladies go for with this outfit. For that extra 50s inspired look get your hair up into a bun or ponytail with a simple clip for detail. It's all about keeping things fresh and feminine.Need Help?
