Zara Phillips will star in an equestrian video game.
The 32-year-old royal, who is a respected British horse rider, will become the first member of the Royal Family to feature in an online game after signing a deal with a French software company.
According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, she is believed to have been paid a six-figure sum by Ubisoft to lend her name to horse game, 'Howrse', where she will give advice on how to care for the virtual animal.
Although a spokesman confirmed her voice will not feature on the game she will appear on advertising campaigns.
Frederic Cremer, head of business development at Owlient, part of Ubisoft, was delighted to have Zara on board since she can appeal to millions worldwide.
He said she "has global recognition" and "understands the benefits that gaming can bring to broaden the appeal and accessibility of equestrian activities".
Zara's own horses will star in the game and players will be given the chance to "own" them.
The royal's passion for riding follows in the footsteps of her parents.
Her mother Princess Anne made history as the first member of the British Royal Family to have competed in the Olympic Games in 1976 when she joined the British team riding the Queen Elizabeth's horse, Goodwill.
While father Captain Mark Phillips won team gold at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 for Team Eventing and silver in Seoul in 1988.
Zara competed in London's 2012 Olympics and the equestrian team celebrated silver in the three-day Team Eventing competition.
