Prince William caught a pensioner taking selfies with him as he attended the annual Hillsborough Castle garden party.
The Duke of Cambridge was at the Secretary of State's yearly event in Northern Ireland with his wife Duchess Catherine on Tuesday (14.06.16) and as he chatted to other guests and members of the public he noticed that Anne Hyndman, from Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, was shamelessly snapping away with him in the background with her camera phone.
Amused by her antics, William, 33, decided to tell Anne, 62, he knew what she was up to.
According to website MailOnline, he told her: "I know what you are doing, you are taking selfies - I can see you out of the side of my eye."
William then moved on to mingle with other guests before coming back to Anne and jokingly telling her that selfies are for young people.
Anne - who attended the event with her husband Ronnie, an active member of the Royal British Legion in Portrush - shared: "He came back up and I was taking photos again and he said, 'That's the woman with the selfies - that's a young one's thing, now you are at it.' "
Coffee shop worker Anne was determined to get a selfie with William - who has two children, Prince George, two, and 13-month-old Princess Charlotte, with Catherine - because the second-in-line to the British throne is just so "lovely".
She said: "He's just lovely. It was just the best day we ever had. It was like a dream."
